Like the second album, this should be my difficult second. Can I match my work last season and build on it by two places to clinch promotion to the premiership? So far, so good. I'm one point away from the promotion spots and the top two appear to be running away with it somewhat leaving three or four of us in a dogfight for the last spot.

I think I may be finding my feet tactically and so I'm having a good run of form. I'm also enjoying the progress of some of the youngsters at the team as they convert some of that potential into hard skills.

But still one pitfall remains. Cash. I have none of it and I'm not earning any. I have a couple of players on the market that someone may need, otherwise the wage budget is increasing as contracts get renewed where they have to and not enough see the exit door. My gate receipts just don't match these wages over the season and I don't like the prospect of having an empty stadium if I push the prices too high. Rock, meet hard place. Is my only prospect getting promotion to the premiership and forking out for a minor upgrade for the inevitable surge for demand of this premiership team? It was so much easier in IAG 1 - "if you build it they will come".
