Board Targets - Progress Report

Our board issued the following four targets for the season, and have asked for a progress report to be handed in. Here are the targets:
1 Expand by 3500 Seats
Progress: Completed! We probably won't be able to expand again until Season 19, so let's hope the board are OK with that. We haven't been filling it out quite as I had liked, but with the increasing club rating that we've been seeing recently, I hope that this might draw the crowds back in to fill our new seats.
2 Bring in a Top-Notch Forward
Progress: 50% Completed. We have identified possible targets and been in contact with their managers to assess interest levels and the possibility of acquiring the players. We hope to have a FWD (or 2) within 10 days, although this has taken longer than we had hoped. Not only will this boost our attacking power, but it should also give us a boost to club rating and the elusive next set of staff.
3 Finish in the Top Four
Progress: 80% Completed. The club is poised to make this possibility a reality as we now sit in third place. However, our stretch of games at the end of the season includes five of the top seven clubs so we will need to come away from that without suffering too many defeats. Although we are currently in the target region, we aren't sure of anything with just 4 points separating the top 5 clubs and many games yet to play.
4 Advance at least 2 rounds further in each of the Cups
Progress: 80% Completed. We reached Round 5 of the League Cup where we were knocked out by the eventual winners, Fighting Mongoose. I'd like to move further in the Cup before seeing such difficult opposition, but that's not up to me. We are now entering Round 6 of the IAG Super Cup where we are away to a team ranked in the 1000's. This should be an easy win and see us through to round 7 (2 rounds further than last season). I'd like to think we can push even further than that, but we have never passed round 7 so we'll just have to wait and see. One game at a time and all that!
So far so good, just looking for a bit of luck in the transfer market and a big boost to the club will come from that if we are successful. A Cup run that takes us to Round 9 or 10 would give us an enormous boost financially where we would be poised to make even more important signings in the coming season and fix the shortcomings in defence and the midfield that are soon to be apparent.
