 | So, after leaving Boca Seniors (Eros Div 5) in Season 16, after a fall out with the board, I was coaxed back into IAG Management by friend and colleague Benje0123.
I contacted the board at Manta Div 4 club Rb Milan, and applied for the vacant managers position and was hired immediately the following day.
1 week on, 1,000,000 spent and the club is deffinately on the up.
The most pressing matter has been the clubs huge wage bill. Similiarly to Boca Seniors when I first start the wages are vastly over the odds and costing the club nearly 100,000 per day! Key players salaries are ranging from 6 - 11k p/d. Negotiations are ongoing and as any manager will know they are slow and must be done with short and long term planing in mind. One player has been released, 33 years old and rated at 10!! who would allow this player into the club!! 5k p/d has been taken off the wages, with a view to dropping the overall daily wage bill to somewhere around the 60-70k mark.
The stadium has been expanded to a level where it cannot be increased without serious funding, and the club is selling out at around 36TP per game. (250k roughly.)
The back room staff has been totally turned around with 5 members leaving and 11 arriving. Scouting has begun immediately and the player training is expected to produce some drastic results in player improvements. There are no planned transfers despite a lack of a left footed full or wing back, and the only players coming in will be via the youth academy, which again, as managers will know is very hit and miss, time and money consuming but still cheaper then purchasing via the transfer market. Also, bear in mind the 21 day transfer embargo and a lack of money for purchasing where as kids can be signed on even with negitive funds.
Tactics and formations have been changed quickly and without any hiccups - touch wood - under my control the team has played 5 and won 5. Scoring 16 and conceeding 1; stand out man is Mikkel Borgessen scoring 8 goals in 4 games. But the team in general is performing and we have moved up to top of the table after a fantastic 3-1 home win over the former top spot holders "Back in a 2nd". The club is two wins away from Promotion of Div 3 and it will go down to the wire for the Championship with BIA2nd only two pints behind, and G-Stars 2nd 4 points behind 2nd place.
I will end by saying the club was already in second when I took over and deffinately has a team worthy of winning the Division wihtout my help. It does however need my help to streamline running costs, and preparing the squad to take on Div 3 next season with a deffinate view of back-to-back promotions into Div 2. From there, who knows, it will depend on obvious the factors of money, and youth aquisitions. All income and savings will be allocated straight to stadium re-development costs.
